While we did not encounter this issue during our own testing, several reviews on the Apple App Store have noted issues with this app’s VPN and Wi-Fi-related features, reporting broken connections and freezes. Notable features include anti-phishing browser protections that warn you if a link or a website is dangerous to click on, a built-in VPN and a Wi-Fi Security Checker that can warn you if you connect to an unsecured Wi-Fi network. Misleading name aside, its mobile offering is of a similar quality. Kaspersky provides some of the most popular antivirus solutions on the market. Who should use it: Sophos Intercept X for Mobile is great for corporate users looking to connect to their company’s broader Intercept X platform. A free trial is also available for the service by reaching out to Sophos directly. Interested users can contact Sophos directly for pricing information. However, making full use of the app’s features requires an Intercept X account. Sophos Intercept X for Mobile is free on the Apple App Store. During our testing, we especially liked the password manager and authenticator tools and its easy-to-understand interface. If your company uses the Intercept X platform, the iOS app can also be directly connected to that platform. While the iOS app understandably lacks the sort of robust protection features we’d expect from its desktop counterpart, it’s still a solid offering with a built-in password manager, multi-factor authenticator and a Wi-Fi Security Checker to warn you if you connect to an unsecured network. Sophos Intercept X is one of the most well-regarded endpoint protection platforms in the industry.
